Why Should I Call a Plumber?
Even though calling a plumber is the last thing on your mind, we want you to know that Precision Plumbing is available to combat your home’s plumbing issues.
And while we may not be on speed dial like your mom or spouse, there are certain scenarios where a call to our office is needed — ASAP!
Give us a call if any of the following problems take place in your kitchen or bathroom.
Your Pipes are Frozen
In DuPage County, we can’t avoid the winter season — and with frigid temps, come frozen or cracked pipes.
If a pipe in your home freezes, close your main water shutoff valve. In some cases, you may be able to apply a heating pad or hair dryer to thaw the pipe — just nothing with an open flame. Not only can it wreak havoc on the pipe itself, but it could also do damage to surrounding building materials.
Sometimes, affected pipes may be hard to locate, and that’s where we come in. We may instead replace a section of the frozen pipe or locate the source of a leak. We’ll ensure everything is fixed ASAP so you can avoid potentially expensive repairs due to water damage.

Hot Water has Ceased to Exist
In the modern world, hot water is no longer an added convenience — it’s something we can’t live without! If the hot water stops flowing in your home, it may take a while to figure out why without the help of a professional.
Additionally, we do NOT recommend attempting to fix this on your own as water heaters function using gas and electrical systems. The wrong move could be quite dangerous not only to your system, but to yourself and your home!
Luckily our Wheaton water heater experts are a call away. We’ll figure out if it’s time for a full water heater replacement or if it’s a simple repair.
Water Pressure is Low
It’s true: your faucets are not designed to randomly emit a few scant drops of water from time to time, but it is possible that rust or dirt may have accumulated in your water lines, causing a clog. In fact, a pipe obstruction can cause low water pressure in your home overall.
If the water pressure in your kitchen sink, bathroom sink, shower, and bathtub is low, give us a call and a plumber from our team will inspect the problem, providing you with an appropriate solution!
A Pipe Becomes Blocked
If one or more of your sinks becomes backed up, then you’ll have an unsanitary problem in your household. So what seems to be the cause? Typically, this is due to a blockage in your sewer line. Whether the blockage is caused by a tree root or an object that was flushed down the toilet, a clogged sewer line requires the help of a professional plumber.
Always avoid using caustic chemicals to fix a blocked pipe, since these chemicals can cause a serious problem in your sewer line — and damage your plumbing pipes over time, too.
Luckily, our drain cleaning & sewer repair services are designed to save you time, money, and hassle.
